This is one of my all time favorite books. I have enjoyed reading it to all the kids. Plus, it is such a wonderful beginning book for the kids as they are learning to read.I also like it because I can relate to Elmo. (No, I'm not a small red furry monster, although some days my kids might tell you otherwise.) While being small can be great - sometimes it's not so easy. I always knew this day would come. In fact, I hoped it would. But did it have to happen so soon? J1 wins the prize for being the first one to grow taller than me.

Yep, that's going to be a sad day when my kiddos pass me up. Does that mean she is taller than L?
Yeah ... much to L's dismay, she is the same height as me.
